• The Ancient Megalithic Ruins of the South Pacific

Explores the astonishing array of megalithic ruins found in the South Pacific, including the Latte Stones of the Marianas, the menhirs of Paulau, the megalithic canal city on Kosrae Island, and the ever-mysterious Nan Madol on Pohnpei Island. Researches Nan Madol to discover that it contains over 250 million tons of basalt columns strewn, partially submerged, over an 11 square mile area of artificial islands. Strange underwater buildings of this incredible city are found at 80 feet. Local legends insist the huge volcanic rocks, weighing up to 50 tons each, were levitated into place by mysterious island ancestors. Could Nan Madol and other megalithic remains in the Pacific have been built by the ancient Egyptians. A great theory, and this video provides a great deal of evidence in the for...

The mysterious and unexplained similarities in their architecture, iconography, and religion are so striking and profound that the Mayans and Balinese seem to have been twin civilizations—as if children of the same parent. • Lemuria and the Ancient Naacal Stone Tablets

Lemuria, as a lost Pacific Ocean continent, was popularised by James Churchward (1851–1936) in a series of books, beginning with Lost Continent of Mu, the Motherland of Man (1926), re-edited later as The Lost Continent Mu (1931).[8] Other popular books in the series are The Children of Mu (1931), and The Sacred Symbols of Mu (1933). Churchward claimed that "more than fifty years ago," while he was a soldier in India, he befriended a high-ranking temple priest who showed him a set of ancient "sunburnt" clay tablets, supposedly in a long lost "Naga-Maya language" which only two other people in India could read. Having mastered the language himself, Churchward found out that they originated from "the place where [man] first appeared—Mu or Lemuria." The 1931 edition states that “all matter of...

Pacific Documentation - Lost World of The Pacific - Polynesian Islands Documentary Polynesia is characterized by a small amount of land spread over a very large portion of the mid and southern Pacific Ocean. Most Polynesian islands and archipelagos, including the Hawaiian Islands and Samoa, are composed of volcanic islands built by hotspots. New Zealand, Norfolk Island, and Ouvéa, the Polynesian outlier near New Caledonia, are the unsubmerged portions of the largely sunken continent of Zealandia. Zealandia is believed to have mostly sunk by 23 m.y.a. and resurfaced geologically recently due to a change in the movements of the Pacific Plate in relation to the Indo-Australian plate, which served to uplift the New Zealand portion. At first, the Pacific plate was subducted under the Australian plate. The Alpine Fault that traverses the South Island is currently a transform fault while the convergent plate boundary from the North Island northwards is a subduction zone called the Kermadec-Tonga Subduction Zone. The volcanism associated with this subduction zone is the origin of the Kermadec and Tongan island archipelagos. Out of about 117,000 or 118,000 square miles (300,000 or 310,000 km2) of land, over 103,000 square miles (270,000 km2) are within New Zealand; the Hawaiian archipelago comprises about half the remainder. The Zealandia continent has approximately 1,400,000 square miles (3,600,000 km2) of continental shelf. The oldest rocks in the region are found in New Zealand and are believed to be about 510 million years old. The oldest Polynesian rocks outside of Zealandia are to be found in the Hawaiian Emperor Seamount Chain, and are 80 million years old. Geographic area Polynesia is generally defined as the islands within the Polynesian Triangle, although there are some islands that are inhabited by Polynesian people situated outside the Polynesian Triangle. Geographically, the Polynesian Triangle is drawn by connecting the points of Hawaii, New Zealand and Easter Island. The other main island groups located within the Polynesian Triangle are Samoa, Tonga, the Cook Islands, Tuvalu, Tokelau, Niue, Wallis and Futuna and French Polynesia. There are also small Polynesian settlements in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Caroline Islands, and in Vanuatu. An island group with strong Polynesian cultural traits outside of this great triangle is Rotuma, situated north of Fiji. The people of Rotuma have many common Polynesian traits but speak a non-Polynesian language. Some of the Lau Islands to the southeast of Fiji have strong historic and cultural links with Tonga. However, in essence, Polynesia is a cultural term referring to one of the three parts of Oceania (the others being Micronesia and Melanesia). DNA studies suggest that the indigenous Pacific Islands population migrated from Taiwan thousands of years ago and dispersed throughout the region into three distinct cultural groups. Island groups Mokoliʻi Isle near Oahu, Hawaii Cook's Bay on Moorea, French Polynesia The following are the islands and island groups, either nations or overseas territories of former colonial powers, that are of native Polynesian culture or where archaeological evidence indicates Polynesian settlement in the past.[3] Some islands of Polynesian origin are outside the general triangle that geographically defines the region. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Don´t miss: "Cute Monkey - Funny Monkies - Compilation" ➨ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhvP-zw1k-I -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Pacific Documentation - Lost World of The Pacific - Polynesian Islands Documentary" ➨ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPbrv84yzFg

Sailing solo across the Pacific big game fish caught finding Hawaii with ancient navigation arts. Winter has come, the big wave season reaches from California to Hawaii - the most remote island chain on the planet. I've lost 20 lbs, not had a strike for weeks and looking for absolute proof I'm nearing Hawaii in the equatorial current. Finally I hit the jackpot. I've reached the end of my 28 day lunar new moon to new moon voyage plan. Once again I'm on the dark side of the new moon trusting my instincts, ancient navigational wisdom, elements and creatures of nature to find Hawaii. To miss my target is to engage the ocean for another month towards Asia. In this darkness I've locked into my destination 500 miles away. Winter's night sky has been my compass and chart. The sun, moon and planets rising from the East passing overhead setting WSW over Hawaii. Stars near the horizon serve as a celestial compass rising, shifting, setting providing precise guidance rivaling gyro compasses. Pleiades is my midnight reference, aligned 60 miles North of Kauai. Orion the great navigator warrior contains stars mapping out a hundred islands from the Marquesas across the equator to all of Hawaii. Tiger sharks emerge instead of Great Whites. Common, white sided, right whale and other cold water dolphins vanish replaced by Spinners, Rough Toothed and Melon Headed. False and Pygmy Killer Whales replace Orca Killer Whales. The first definitive sign I'm on course to Hawaii, two boobie birds. At most I'm 500 miles away. Birds are a navigators best friend. The prevailing North swell travels thousands of miles far beyond storm winds near Alaska. It shifts becoming a fickled heaped up West swell against and under the wind waves. I'm 400 miles away nearing the steep rugged mountain shores of the Big Island and Maui. The big wave is deflected refracted with a different pulse, rhythm and set. A high cloud bank rises in one direction on the horizon 300 miles away. To the SW it reflects the black lava, green jungle and reddish yellow VOG, volcanic organic gases - similar to the SMOG found in cities. 3 distinct cloud plumes rise from the high mountain peaks Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Haleakala. Sunsets tell the tale from the clean pure ocean air in other directions to the toxic volcanic air. Underwater lightening flashes like laser beams radiating to and from Maui, not in the wake but away from my vessel called "te lapa" or "glory of the seas" ancient voyagers spoke of. That may be seen about 100 miles from an island flashing toward such. Boobie birds begin coming in larger numbers. Some leaving before sunset, others arriving after sunrise always in the direction of the islands. Seeing the isles I realize for the first time what this was all about. It's been a rite of passage. How small the isles seem now having sailed an ocean compared to before when I lived ashore. How small everything in life has become compared to vast expanse of the ocean and heavens above. There is no past no future out here only the present. It's not who I was or could be but who I am. Humpback Whales are everywhere. We have all traveled the same seas late fall and winter to be here. A sanctuary, refuge and place of bliss in the midst of an endless sea. It gives you a high without dulling the mind or causing aggression - that's according to the natives of Vanuatu in the South Pacific. They're talking about kava - a drink said to bring you closer to your god that has been enjoyed by the locals for centuries. Vanuatu, a nation of south Pacific islands some 1,750 kilometres (1087 miles) from Australia is so remote and unique that almost everything is done differently from the outside world. Including things like relaxation and socialising. These original Melanesian inhabitants are imbibing a root drink called Kava, that they say is a preferable alternative to alcohol - giving you a high without the aggression and problems that can come from alcohol. Ofer Shagan, an Israeli based in Tokyo, was adopted as an honorary chief of a Vanuatu village after several business visits to the island. He often presides over rituals. He explains that the drinking of Kava is actually a religious experience: "It seems like in most countries in the South Pacific the plant called kava, originally it's the name of a local god of the South Pacific, Kava Kava. It was always considered as a holy spirit; that whoever drinks it get influenced or actually gets in touch with their god and through him with his own ancestors. It's a channel through the god Kava to reach communication with your ancestors." Kava is harvested from the roots of the Kava plant which is native to the forest. Villagers cut and mash the roots. Water is added and then the cream-coloured drink is filtered off. Shagan explains: "To start with we need to raise the plant for at least 6 years. We are using only the root. And we cut it to small pieces. We mash it. We get the liquid out of it. We clean the liquid through a fabric and the liquid that comes through it, this is what we actually drink." Ken is the son of a native Rano Village Chief. He says drinking Kava is an integral part of village social life in Vanuatu. "If we make, we walk for somebody, and he said he need the help, so go walk, we find small kava, make a juice, end of the day we have small kava, we eat and then we go to bed. That's the system in the village. That's how we use the kava. But in Port Villa, the kava bar they make money out of it." Aladi Gedinye is the daughter of the owner of Last Flight Naka Dream Kava Bar in Port Villa. She says: "It's almost been 4 years we've been open. We have heaps of different people from everywhere that come. We have English, French. There's Korean and Chinese as well that come here. So it's very a mixture of people that drink kava here." Like in the forest, people like to come to relax after a hard day of work and to socialise with friends over a glass of kava. "It's where mostly people after work they come. Just to drink one or two shots, just so they can relax after a hard day of work," says Gedinye. Advocates for Kava like local Vanuatuan Robert says the high you get from the drink is less aggressive than that from alcohol: "The kava, it doesn't taste nice. But the feeling of it you feel like you are up in the air somewhere. That's why people come to drink kava. And the kava is very much different from alcohol. When you drink alcohol there is too much noise and all that. When you drink kava you like to stay in a quiet place." But Kava is not without its detractors. Scientific studies have shown that kava does have sedative and anaesthetic properties because of the presence of ingredients called kavalactones. Whilst sedating, these ingredients do not impede mental clarity in the same debilitating way as alcohol. Nevertheless, claims that over-imbiding may lead to liver damage, and that the drink is unsuitable for children have led to restrictions in its importation and sale to parts of Australia. RichardCassaro.com - One of the greatest archaeological riddles—and one of the grossest academic omissions—of our time is the untold story of the parallel ruins left by two seemingly unrelated ancient civilizations: the ancient Mayans on one side of the Pacific Ocean and the ancient Balinese on the other. The mysterious and unexplained similarities in their architecture, iconography, and religion are so striking and profound that the Mayans and Balinese seem to have been twin civilizations—as if children of the same parent. Yet, incredibly, this mystery is not only being ignored by American scholars, it’s being suppressed. Samoa: Deep in the heart of Pacific Ocean lies some of the world’s most intriguing megalithic sites. Were they once part of a lost continent known in ancient legends as Mu? And what do we know of the original inhabitants, the Lapita people? The remains of an ancient culture are seen across the Pacific in the artefacts they left behind. But even more striking are the remnants of impressive megalithic monuments, pyramidal platforms, star mounds and fascinating astronomical timepieces in stone. The documentary “In search of Mu” unlocks the secrets of ancient Polynesia. Contemporary scientific discovery and spiritual wisdom are brought together to reveal the higher heritage of an ancient sea-faring culture. Having mastered the language himself, Churchward found out that they originated from "the place where [man] first appeared—Mu or Lemuria." The 1931 edition states that “all matter of science in this work are based on translations of two sets of ancient tablets:” the clay tables he read in India, and a collection of 2,500 stone tablets that had been uncovered by William Niven in Mexico. Churchward gave a vivid description of Lemuria Mu as the home of an advanced civilization, the Naacal, which flourished between 50,000 and 12,000 years ago, was dominated by a “white race," and was "superior in many respects to our own" At the time of its demise, about 12,000 years ago, Lemuria Mu had 64,000,000 inhabitants and many large cities, and colonies in the other continents. Churchward claimed that the landmass of Lemuria Mu was located in the Pacific Ocean, and stretched east–west from the Marianas to Easter Island, and north–south from Hawaii to Mangaia. He claimed that according to the creation myth he read in the Indian tablets, Mu had been lifted above sea level by the expansion of underground volcanic gases. Eventually Mu “was completely obliterated in almost a single night” after a series of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, "the broken land fell into that great abyss of fire" and was covered by "fifty millions of square miles of water." Churchward claimed that Mu was the common origin of the great civilizations of Egypt, Greece, Central America, India, Burma and others, including Easter Island, and was in particular the source of ancient megalithic architecture.
